Unfortunate that it requires javascript, discouraging use of the facility.

Perhaps, clearer commands, so that apt-get dist-upgrade gets replaced
with something that does not appear to mean that the distribution will
be upgraded to the latest version?

Also, possibly (and, this would need to be done for backports for
previous versions?) an option to upgrade to an incremental version,
so, for example, for a user running 16.04, when it gets close to End
Of Life, the availability of a command
apt-get version-upgrade (a new name for a command, or a new command) -18.04
(then, when that action is completed,
apt-get version-upgrade -20.04

I suggest that such a new command would be useful and helpful.
