New to me, too. I would recommend removing Python 2 again:
sudo apt purge python

Sounds good. I had a similar issue trying to install `byptop` (as
recommended by our very own Alan Pope, who won't be our very own for
much longer at all now). It needed `pip`, I didn't have it, so I
searched for it, installed it, then did `python pip install bpytop` or
something much like that, and bingo, it worked. Sorted out its own
dependencies. The original Javascript version wanted something insane
like 200MB of dependencies installing.
I really dislike Javascript.
