Hi, I have several Raspberry Pis running Ubuntu using zoneminder which
is an open source surveillance camera system which includes software
motion detection.  Info is found here: https://zoneminder.com/

It works with both IP and USB cameras. I have 6 cameras running on two
Pis. Software should work with any host running Ubuntu. Software is
pretty stable. It uses a MySQL database backend and it allows multiple
instances to share the same web interface.
