I've not purchased from either so I can't vouch for their products but
they look interesting. Starlabs is located in southern England and
apparently does hardware specifically for running Linux.

Not sure where frame.work is located but one of the pages states "Now
Available for Pre-order in UK, Germany, and France". They have a DIY
edition that sounds like you assemble it yourself using whatever parts
you already have. Sounds good.

Might be worthwhile investigating these but I don't need a new laptop,
yet....
