ubuntu 16.04. Change label extreme portable SSD

May I ask we you don't use SSD externally? I found the one I used
considerable faster that my old HDD (ok at least 8 years old)

That is indeed something that worries me to. If I part the disk in two
parts, one with exfat the other with HSF+, I am not sure whether
trimming would work on the HFS+ part (the exfat part I am afraid is not possible)
