I expect the safest way to remove these would be to use
https://forum.snapcraft.io/t/configure-number-of-old-revisions-to-keep/2337/7
to tell snapd to keep fewer old versions.

I'm afraid I have no idea; somebody on forum.snapcraft.io might know
more.
