Replacements for Firefox and Thunderbird?

well, true, rules are rules, like for example to not top post etc.. :)
BUT, it is a little disturbing that there are numerous people out there
that have to say their say about how to post and what to post. It's not
that the discussion was about how to bake a cake or grow tomatoes. OP
asked about part of ubuntu distros, asking for alternatives. I think
that is "on topic" enough.
And of course.. there is always the choice between read/not-read, and
just delete an email, unread/unopened, from a thread that comes in that
you're not interested in. It's not like the 80's where your internet
traffic was metered by the kb.
