The messages seem to come in spurts. Sometimes there's lots of
activity and other times there's none or just a little.

I haven't seen any that big on Ubuntu and the archives of the
Ubuntu Server list show that one to be about like this one. It's
possible that you'll get a good spurt of activity going with your
e1000e topic, though.
