I think that is the trend nowadays UX/UI stuff, I actual don't like it
to. Nobody likely to use scrollbars anymore. Everyone should be using
either a scroll-wheel or a touch screen something.
Yes it look ugly but I found it intuitive to inform me how long this
page and how many "scrolling" are left. I really like thick scroll bar
when browsing using desktop.
Anyway, I use an add-ons[1] it work nicely even you can put color on
scroll bar.
