LibreOffice not updating

Thanks all. Actually, I found the new stuff through Synaptic. It's all in
/usr/local/bin, not conflicting with the official Ubuntu stuff, so I'm not
going to have to uninstall anything. It was also in the whisker menu
Office category, so I just replaced the launchers in my panels to be for
the new version. I also created a symbolic link "lo" in /usr/local/bin for
my command-line use (which is my most usual way of doing stuff).
All is good, panic subsides. And I'm grateful for a gang like you all.
