hi Liam - I did all my autoinstall work with a metal box with 4G ram... I
got it all working. Now come to find out the "actual" machine(s) I need to
install over network (remote) have only 2G.
The install fails. I then added ramdisk_size=1500000 and root=/dev/ram0
and not it fails for a different reason (curtain something).
my goal - how to install hte LIVE server in 2G ?
Is this physical hardware, or a VM? - Physical - but test with VM.
Is this machine in your home, or office, or a server room somewhere, -
many states away internet access
or in a rack in a datacentre, or what? not rack - just in "rooms"
Is it a BIOS or UEFI machine? BIOS
If it is in a remote site does that remote site not have a PXE net - NO
boot server or something? Boot server
Is there any OS on the machine at the moment? yes there is linux running
currently (CentOS)
How are you accessing the machine? THrough internet ssh
Any great ideas I'm missing to get live server install in 2G ram?
Jerry
