Hi,
the connections between my two iPads and a range of Bluetooth devices
are quite reliable, but in my limited experience...
...the sound quality of the common used audio codecs renders it
useless, if at least average hi-fi quality, such as provided by common
hi-fi gear from the 80th and early 90th is wanted. Note this aged hi-fi
gear does usually sound better than even decent pro-sumer audio devices
for computers, just professional audio gear does sound better, than old
hi-fi does.
...audio latency is a concern.
...some audio devices seem to enforce a disconnect-if-idle-"feature".
...battery life of an Apple Pencil 2 is a concern.
OTOH Bluetooth MIDI doesn't suffer from long latency and compared to
odd USB MIDI, at least galvanic isolation is granted. I can't comment
on MIDI jitter, when using Bluetooth.
Regards,
Ralf
