Bluetooth query

I have the Linux VictronConnect_x86_64-5.41.AppImage and a BMV 712-Smart 
monitor. The app cannot see the Victron Bluetooth device even without 
the Android phone connected. Is that the same app that you have?

At first I thought that the Venus OS (thank you Oliver) for the 
raspberry pi might have been the answer but it doesn't support the 
battery monitor.

By the way my laptop is a Lenovo ThinkPad running Kubuntu 20.10.
