Certainly if you do have multiple boots and want to share home then a
partition is the way to go. I have a separate machine I use for
trying new installs so I don't need to do that.
By Gosh, did you mean that is a lot of space to use?
I have
17GB of a lifetime of photos
16 GB of backups of other other systems
15 GB of apps - Android, Go (8GB!), Arduino etc
13GB for Steam, mostly an RC Flight simulator
10GB Videos
8GB .cache (that could be tidied up no doubt)
8GB Downloads (ditto)
and so on.
I want to try running Windows in a VM for Fusion 360 but I haven't got
room for a VM.
