How to keep laptop running when lid is closed (20.04.3 LTS)

I have an HP EliteBook 8560W which is retired from its original development work
on Windows and is now running Ubuntu Mate 20.04.3 LTS.
If I close the lid it goes into sleep mode, which I do not want, because I want
to have it running and interact with it using SSH and VNC.
Basically I want it to sit quietly on a shelf and I will deal with it from my
main PC using PuTTY and VNC only.
It needs to both start up and stay running with the lid closed and with WiFi
also active because that is the route of my SSH communications..
Is it possible to modify any settings somewhere to make this happen?
Preferably through the command line (SSH).
