I did that and it took a couple of minutes but now I have an "empty" 500GB ext4
drive for the backup. :)

I have seen that the man describes the rsbackup as a system running on a scedule
and this really means that the drive should be mounted inside of the computer
rather than being on the floor beside it...

I was really only looking for a way to safeguard the system before doing a dist
upgrade from 18.04 to 20.04 so I need to set it up to back up the Ubuntu system
(minus the videos) once only.
I don't know if there is a bay inside for a 2.5" SCSI drive...

But of course having a running scheduled backup would be a "good thing"!

Anyway, now I have to figure out how to configure this to work properly, like
the OP Jay Ridgley of this thread...
