I confess that on several websites I have a cron job that runs every
minute and does something like "chown -R www-data:www-data
/var/www/html ; chmod -R u=rw,go=r /var/www/html"
Lo-tech I know, but very effective. I suppose if you had special cases
you could write an actual script and run that every minute.
