Try Ventoy. It's *much* quicker and easier, and you can put a bunch of
ISOs onto the same USB key and try them one after the other.

Odd! Is the firmware current?

Try a different remix just in case.

I have multiple variants in VMs here without big problems, but only
Ubuntu Unity 22.04 on bare metal so far. It is running very well
indeed but not totally without glitches... e.g. it won't always
connect to my Wifi.

Win10 is fine. Devuan is fine. But Jammy retries over and over and over...

I have also been experimenting with Ubuntu Kylin, which is
interestingly weird. :-D

It defaults to a very complex partition layout, much like Deepin, with
a boot partition, primary and backup root partitions, and a data
partition. But the important thing here maybe is the _way_ the ISO
boots:

I get the (very pretty) animated loading screen, then a glimpse of the
live desktop, then it goes black. Sometimes there is a mouse pointer.

If I use Ctrl+Alt+F1 to switch to a virtual console and then go back
to the GUI with Alt+F7, I get the desktop and can install as normal.
