I try to avoid asking questions /about/ Mint, as it's not supported 
here, only on some web forum somewhere, and I prefer email.

But sometimes I ask about something, and the fact that I'm running Mint 
has to be mentioned so that people can discount it as a factor (or not).

I may change to plain Ubuntu again in the future — a lot depends on 
whether they are going to make it easy or hard to get everything running 
the way I need it.

The reason I jumped ship before was that Ubuntu introduced some 
particularly horrible interface changes (I can't even remember what they 
were now, but they slowed my systems to a crawl) and I just tossed 
Ubuntu itself out and switched to a derivative — Mint.
