Agreed.

There _was_ a Mint mailing list; I was on it. It was extremely quiet,
and in the end got shut down.

Personally I loathe web fora, though, so while I have an account there
I never use it. Just like Ubuntu's discourse. Occasionally I answer
something on Ubuntu's StackExchange for amusement and because having
some credibility points there can be useful.
