Why have my Ubuntu 22.04 systems got different versions of some packages?

While investigating the recent "kept back" issue I have noticed that
one of my [x]ubuntu systems has got a newer/different version of some
packages than my other systems.
For example on my system 'backup' I see:-
chris at backup$ dpkg -l | grep libnotify-bin
ii libnotify-bin 0.7.9-3ubuntu5.22.04.1 amd64 sends desktop notifications to a notification daemon (Utilities)
Whereas on my system 'esprimo' I see:-
chris$ dpkg -l | grep libnotify-bin
ii libnotify-bin 0.7.9-3ubuntu5 amd64 sends desktop notifications to a notification daemon (Utilities)
These two systems are both running ubuntu 22.04 and the hardware is
*very* similar. Both are Fujitsu Esprimo, same model, the only
difference really being that they have a different mix of disk drives.
