I have no experience with your particular audio hardware, but to 
troubleshoot, I would run as root the shell script in 
/usr/share/alsa-base called alsa-info.sh. This script will gather audio 
sw/hw information using the various utilities you've may have used 
separately, but the difference here is that the script will create a 
report with all information available including kernel drivers that 
should support your hardware. The script also offers to upload your 
report to the alsa-project or to pastebin so that others can take a look 
at it. Since the report can be quite lengthy, it's preferable to upload 
to one of those sites and post the link to it than it is to post it here 
to the mailing list.

Also, I would read the documentation found in /usr/share/doc/alsa-base 
and its subdirectory, drivers. There are some text files specific to HD 
audio that might prove useful in troubleshooting your issue.
