I think it would be better to stick with the stock kernel for 22.04 
instead of a mainline one for troubleshooting. I also gather from the 
grep of "sof" in the dmesg output that you may have already determined 
that issue probably centers on a failure to load the required firmware 
for your audio hardware. I noticed that the kernel warns that the 
firmware ABI is newer than that of the kernel. I don't if that's usual, 
or if you've downloaded a newer version of intel firmware and installed 
it which may be causing a problem. In any event, going over what you may 
have already done to troubleshoot the problem is unlikely to be 
fruitful. I did find that there are some bug reports and posts on 
various forums which describe similar problems with your hardware 
configuration so perhaps you can read those and gain some guidance, or 
someone here who has similar hardware can chime in.
