Unfortunately, it is possible. Someone (not you, presumably) reported this
as a bug in January
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1959109
A few more Google listings show other folks having the trouble, including
someone else who uploaded a logfile to the alsa-project db as you did.
At this point you have a couple of options. One would be to appeal to the
manufacturer, maybe through the vendor you bought it from, asking if they
have any particular knowledge of how the sound system works and if they
know how to make it work with linux sound utilities. They may not be
helpful, but ideally someone with knowledge of the hardware might say "it
works just like" and name another more common hardware option, and you can
then figure out how to tell ALSA to recognize it.
Another option is to dig deeper into the nitty-gritty and learn about sound
systems and try to educate yourself enough to develop something and submit
it to volunteers with ALSA to get the system working.
As a short-term workaround, you might use an external USB sound device with
your laptop. Clearly suboptimal. But it might also help you in learning how
the sound systems (such as ALSA, PulseAudio and PipeWire) work in Ubuntu
and other distributions.
