Hi,

getting rid of anything GNOME related is always a good step to get rid
of issues.

Soon or later we need to get rid of non-GNOME gtk software, too :(.

I hope somebody will fork gtk.

FWIW Evolution does still use gtk3, hence it's possible to get rid of
the odd design of the latest version by running

 gsettings set org.gnome.evolution.shell use-header-bar false

and using https://github.com/ZaWertun/gtk3-nocsd .

Screenshots with gtk3-nocsd, but use-header-bar true:

There isn't such a workaround for all latest versions of gtk3 apps and
no workaround at all for any gtk4 app.

Regards,
Ralf
