Quick question on dpkg-reconfigure

I wish to set use dpkg-reconfigure lightdm without any prompts.
Even though gdm3 is still installed - I want to switch to lightdm with no
prompts.

So when I run by hand "dpkg-reconfigure lightdm" it defaults to gdm3.

When I run "dpkg-reconfigure -pmedium lightdm" doesnt seem to do anything.

How to I run the command to switch to lightdm automatically and not prompt
for anything ?
