It is not clear what you want Ubuntu to do for you.
WSL might be simple and only a couple clicks for terminal based Ubuntu.

To repartition your hard disk and add a second boot target is not
trivial in these days of secure boot loaders.
Microsoft may have documents on how to do this. I used to do this
but it gets difficult enough that I just
bought a $300 used computer for adventures. I am not sure how or if
Microsoft enables this for the visually impared.
Assistive technology with mixed OS is a challenge.
