Now, my wife has, upon my request, successfully attempted to download
the MS Windows iso (she is a software developer of .Net web
applications, and runs MS Windows on her computer, and, she has not run
Linux, for a while), and, she has written it to the Ventoy drive, from
her Windows computer.

The URL that she used, is
https://www.microsoft.com/en-au/software-download/windows10
which, on my Linux Mint 21.1 Mate system, redirects to the above URL
posted by Liam (which varies from the one that my wife used, only in
that the one that Liam posted, has "ISO" appended to the URL, as can be
seen in comparing the two URL's above.

The URL https://www.microsoft.com/en-au/software-download/windows10ISO
displays

"
Download Windows 10 Disc Image (ISO File)

Before updating, please refer to the Windows release information status
for known issues to confirm your device is not impacted.

You’ve been routed to this page because the operating system you’re
using won’t support the Windows 10 media creation tool and we want to
make sure that you can download Windows 10. To use the media creation
tool, visit the Microsoft Software Download Windows 10 page from a
Windows 7, Windows 8.1 or Windows 10 device.

You can use this page to download a disc image (ISO file) that can be
used to install or reinstall Windows 10. The image can also be used to
create installation media using a USB flash drive or DVD.

     Before you begin

Windows 10 2022 Update l Version 22H2
Select edition

The Windows 10 editions below are valid for both Windows 10 Home and
Windows 10 Pro.

So, in the context of all of this, what I surmise is thus; the MS web
site has detected that I am running Linux, or, specifically, the version
of Linux that I am using, and not MS Windows, and has responded with "F U!".
