It really shouldn't do that and in fact does not need to. That is part of the
"bug". bison++ should only provide bison++, not bison. The actual makefile
does not produce bison or bison.1. Those are artifacts of the packaging,
which is in error.
I've had to create bison++ build packages for some O/S versions where bison++
was missing. There isn't really any true reason that bison and bison++ cannot
co-exist.
I guess I will just have to create and maintain my own packages and block both
packages from auto updates. I have a whole pile of machines that need this
(one real x86_64 (Ubuntu), three VMs (also Ubuntu), a raspberry pi (Raspberry
Pi OS [Debian 10], a banana pi m64 (Armbian 20.04), and an odroid m1 (Debian
10).
