Is a tool available to check the integrity of copied files?

Hi Ralph,
Just two things that I think haven't been mentioned yet...
1. The "sync" command tells the kernel to "Synchronize cached writes to
persistent storage"
2. If you want to easily check the integrity of a copy of a file, consider
calculating a checksum on the original - for example sha256sum.
