graphics problems with Focal(20) apparently out of date or missing stuff

Thanks. I've hesitated to reflash it because if anything gets
screwed up I'm dead and for the moment everything is now running.

Although I've been getting this messages in  dmesg,

[374655.526287] iwlwifi 0000:00:14.3: BIOS contains WGDS but no WRDS

ever since I got the thing the wifi has been generating various
errors but again it always connects well and I have a USB
backup ( for that matter I may be abel to even make a wired connection
lol ). 

In any case many of these symptoms don't seem to make
sense for BIOS alone and concerned about malicious 
software.
