However, if the OP wants equal mailers for Windows and Linux,
Thunderbird might be the right choice for him.

My point is, that "You can test this with almost all, if not all mailers
supporting mbox", namely to find out that mbox allows both individual
and bundled mails in one file. I just named Evolution, since Evolution,
Claws and Sylpheed are at hand on my install, but Thunderbird isn't.
