Hi,

there seem to be only snap and flatpak requests, but a SageMath Docker
images updated 5 days ago is available:

   https://www.sagemath.org/download-linux.html

It's also available by official Arch Linux repositories. You could run
QEMU/KVM or Virtualbox on your Ubuntu flavour and install Arch Linux or
if it's to hard for your taste, a distro based on Arch Linux,
https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Arch-based_distributions as guest. Arch
Linux is a rolling release, hence the packages are usually up-to-date. I
can't comment on arch-based distros, since I'm running Arch Linux on
bare metal. I explicitly installed sagemath years ago, but IIRC I never
used it, so I can't comment on reliability of the package.
