HI,

I'm having a problem getting a printer to print.  I am running
Mint-Linux version 21.1 - Mate desktop.  The printer is a HP ENVY 5530.
I tested the printer on Windows 11 and it works, so it does not "appear"
to a problem with the printer.  I checked on a HP webpage and it says
that this printer should run under Linux. The HP webpage is

*developers.hp.com/hp-linux-imaging-and-printing/supported_devices/index*

I went to a Linux help page and followed their instructions.  This
webpage is

*systutorials.com/how-to-set-up-hp-printer-drivers-on-linux-mint/**
*
This website says that I have the latest version of hplip and to install
and run ...

*sudo aptitude install hplip hplip-gui**
*
The printer installation using the hplib-gui seemed to run correctly but
the printer doesn't print.  I checked the installation correct using the
Mate desktop at system/administration/printers and it shows that the
printer was installed.  When I tried to print a test page nothing seemed
to happen.  I checked the printer queue and it says ...

*Document = test page / printer = ENVY_5530 / status = pending*

I tried to use a XED simple document and this also did not print

*Document = test_file / printer = ENVY_5530 / status = processing*

Obviously, the printer is recognized and installed but probably
incorrectly.  What can I do to get the printer to work?
