You can determine the video properties quickly with SMPlayer, too. Just hit
Ctrl-I.

Because I heard of trouble with nVidia cards under Linux, I've got me an AMD
card, namely a "Sapphire Pulse Radeon RX 550 4GD5 (Lexa XT)". So there
souldn't be any driver problems, should there?
