Yes, an iPad 2, unfortunately the available jailbreaks require the
iPad 2, to be connected to e.g. a Linux computer, to boot. To my
knowledge no jailbreak allows the iPad 2 to boot without help, so I stay
with iOS 9.3.5. For some unknown reason the iPad becomes slower and
slower.

The Pro is a 3rd generation one.

In some cases, it might be an advantage, sometimes software requires not
only programming but data typist to feed the software.
