Does somebody use both, current Intel and AMD tower PCs?

With the particular computer, I believe that, when I bought it, within
(I think) the last six months), the package for the price, was very good
value for money. Whilst the hardware may be dated, it is far more
powerful, and, with more resources, than what is currently available
here, in new personal computers, which tend now to come with 4GB RAM and
64GB storage.

Regarding the Intel/AMD perception, I understand that Linux has had a
problem with drives for AMD CPU's or AMD GPU's.

I understand that (I think, from an article recently in The Register)
AMD has now left Intel behind, in CPU processing power, like I believe
that, when it was in fashion, the Mig 29 fighter-bomber was untouchable,
as no other country had a fighter-bomber that could compete with it.

Here in Australia, Intel means Wintel, as new computers with either no
operating system installed, or, with Linux installed, are simply not
available, from my understanding, so people buying new computers, have a
choice of excessively priced Mac computers, or window boxes.

Whilst in advanced countries, Dell computers, and other brands of new
computers, are available with Linux preinstalled, this is Australia, a
few decades behind the rest of the world (where, if we ever get to
launch Australian space rockets, the feral parliament will probably try
to make them coal fired steam engine powered, and, similarly, if
Australia ever develops InterContinental Ballistic Missiles - they will
likely leave a trail of coal smoke - that is why the first military aid
sent from Australia to the Ukraine, was shiploads of coal, so the
Ukrainian soldiers could throw lumps of coal at the russian soldiers).

So, whilst the hardware of this computer, may be dated, it is more
powerful, has more resources, and, is more advanced, than what are sold
as new personal computers in Australia, which are what are rejected by
the other countries.
