Hi,

please, don't suspect that the version of VirtualBox is old and failing
because it is old, just take a look and tell us what version it is. Due
to issues with Windows 11, I maintain an outdated version of VirtualBox
on my Arch Linux install. The latest and greatest version of VirtualBox
isn't always the best version.

I suspect that the problem exists between chair and keyboard.

I used DVDs to install Windows 10, Windows 11 and older Windows versions
and I don't know if installing Windows from an USB flash drive does work
or not. Since you are using an USB flash drive, did you check the box,
to connect it with VirtualBox?

After starting the VirtualBox guest environment to install Windows 10,
did you manually connect the USB stick by the VirtualBox menu

Device > USB > [x] Name of the USB flash drive

?

If not, it cannot see the USB flash drive, in this case it's not a
broken version of VirtualBox.

How does VirtualBox fail when you try to install Windows 10 from an USB
flash drive? What are you doing, describe each step you are doing and
what error message you get.

Regards,
Ralf
