Don't. It's a very hard way to do it.
Just download a new ISO from Microsoft. It's free and you don't need
any account, product key or anything. Also, you can go direct to 22H2.

It can be done but it's hard. It's not worth it.

Perhaps. 7.x is current but 6.x is still useful.

Ubuntu Jammy is 22.04. Mint 21 is based on that.
You're on Mint 20. That is based on Ubuntu 20.04. Wrong version.
