Hi,

I'm on a "fairly recent" UEFI computer with an up-to-date BIOS. I
dislike GRUB, but as a workaround GRUB was the easiest way to boot my
Linux installs.

My point is, that there are countless reasons to not use GRUB and the
only one is that it's EFI-boot friendly, while the clear and good
bootloaders struggle with EFI-boot in one way or the other.
