Some people have said that by changing themes and then changing back,
the problem was solved. Maybe you can try changing to another theme
that will work better. I think you can also download more themes to
find the perfect one.

Same here.

If it happens in Firefox or Gimp again, you can go into the
"settings.ini" file inside of ~/.config/gtk-3.0 and specify a cursor
theme for them (and any other GTK programs) to use. You can also
specify the cursor's size inside that file to make it more visible.

Here are what those two settings look like in my copy of that file
(I'm using Kubuntu 22.04 LTS):
	gtk-cursor-theme-name=Breeze_Snow
	gtk-cursor-theme-size=24

Note that you have to close and reopen any GTK programs after making
a change to that file for the change to take effect.

By the way, if that ends up working and you're happy with it for the
most part, but are still unhappy with how the cursor looks when you
hover over or click on [insert element here], it should be possible
to control that by customizing the cursor for that element in the
~/.config/gtk-3.0/gtk.css file. I'd be happy to help with that. I've
heavily edited mine.
