I wasn't so sure that this would be crucial since it just works on the
previous kernel and not the newest one. My goof.

Sandisk UltraFlair USB 3.0 32Gb, exFAT (the default).

I tried front-panel connectors USB 2.0 and USB 3.0. These work with
everything else I've plugged into them.

All modules are up to date, including the firmware and the on-board
firmware - as I said, the only change was the new kernel.
