grub repair fails on dual boot

Have you disabled secure boot?

Have you disabled Windows Bitlocker?

You didn't mention disk encryption.

1. Don't dual boot with disk encryption.
2. Better still, don't use disk encryption.

You did not tell us about a *HUGE* and vital part of the deal here.
All bets are off.

What is encrypted, how, why?
