NUC fan speed

Ahoy List Peoples,

Running Ubuntu 22.04.4 LTS

I have a Wall Street Canyon NUC rev12.

The NUC fan speed goes high for about 30 seconds every one to 30 minutes 
and just watching top, htop, and glances is not giving me enough 
information as to why this is happening.

I am charting the environmental SNMP details in librenms and polled 
every 5 minutes.  The CPU temperature is in a reasonable range.

What have other people done that works well to figure out root cause and 
mitigate these high spinning fan situations?
