Hello!
What version of the Nvidia driver was this?
Can you open a terminal and run nvidia-detect?
It should suggest what is most appropriate for the system to use.
FWIW, I run an ancient Nvidia Quadro K2200 on my WFH workstation but
haven't seen anything new from Nvidia in a while now.
I think the proprietary version 545 is used on my system. The
proprietary driver gave me least grief when I initially got the
computer.
Using Kubuntu 22.04, HWE-enabled kernel package, on the workstation.
I believe it's v6.8 as well, but haven't noticed any problems so far
with the Nvidia drivers.
