This (of course) is only possible if you can get into Linux...
I'd suggest booting a live CD from USB or CD/DVD (depending on the age of the
machine), find the Linux install, which can be mounted and chroot'ed to, then
you can fix grub's settings and update grub.cfg (or grub.conf if old).
It is *possible* that a MS-Windows update cleared off grub, so it will need to
be re-installed.
