Apt has nothing to do with snap packages.

You don't say _how_ you updated it.

Me, personally, I do it from the command line, like so:

sudo -s
apt update & apt full-upgrade -y

On machines with snapd enabled and some snaps present, I add a phrase:

sudo -s
apt update & apt full-upgrade -y & snap refresh

This is strictly speaking not supposed to be needed, but I like to get
updates out of the way at the start of the day so that I can get on
with other things without surprises.

Works for me. Might work for you too.
