Migrating from 20.04 -> 22.04 -> 24.04 on headless Ubuntu server?? + hardware upgrade

I thought that it would work like you describe but was taken aback by what ASUS
listed....

Anyway, now I have to pinpoint the exact model NUC I should choose for this
project.

I also have a bunch of RPix devices, ranging from 3-4-5 and Zero.

I also have a box of decommissioned RPi:s too; the first model, (the one one had
to get into a queue to buy back in spring of 2012), and RPi2B.

And I have one RPi5B running too, but I don't see that as a candidate for what I
am after now. I tested running the video download service on it in parallel with
my server, but it turns out that it sometimes chokes on download and fails. This
never happens on the main server, probably because of the CPU differences.
