And some utilities like ffmpeg are no longer being updated to the current level.

I have just gotten me new hardware:

ASUS NUC13ANH with 32 GB RAM, i7 CPU, 1 + 2 TB SSD drives.
Not yet started.

But I have made a Ventoy USB stick with both GParted-Live and Ubuntu + Debian
ISO files meant to be used tomorrow to check it out.
I think you suggested using Ventoy to me maybe 3-4 years ago here. :)

I might migrate all functions except Subversion from the old server and let it
still run just for SVN backup purposes. But then the router must send all SVN
calls to the old and everything else to the new server.

Just looking at the Nobel Prize award ceremonies, AI plays a big part there.
Maybe AI can help me too...
