I recently bought a cheap "mini" linux computer on amazon
and right now it seems to work ok ( althouh I had to issue a usb-reset
to get it to find a camera already plugged in at boot ).
I expect though I may want to copy this small system quickly.
although using any updated packages.
At first partition cloning made sense but I may not be copying to exactly
the same hardware each time.
I found rsync seems to be very good instead of "cp"
but I had to make a list of packages I installed
and then go through them one by one.. This can take a lot
of time but once I have the script I can go get things
in ad hoc locations and get the latest releases.
Are there tools that do stuff like this?
Thanks.
